Paclobutrazol (PBZ) is a Plant Growth Regulator and triazole Fungicide. It is a known antagonist of the plant hormone gibberellin. It acts by inhibiting gibberellin biosynthesis, reducing internodial growth to give stouter stems, increasing root growth, causing early fruitset and increasing seedset in plants such as tomato and pepper.

How to use?
Application method Commonly used methods in flower production include soaking (bulbs), soil application, leaf spraying and drying. Among them, soaking, soil application and leaf spraying have the best effect, and the effect is long-lasting and stable. There are two ways to apply paclobutrazol to soil. One is to plant foliage and flower plants on the ground. Dig a circular trench about 5 cm deep around the crown, spread it evenly into the trench and then irrigate it in time. The second is to apply paclobutrazol to indoor potted flowers in the pot. Drill holes in the soil and water immediately after application. Leaf spraying is mostly carried out in the early stages of growth. The spraying time and concentration of paclobutrazol are different for different flowers, soil quality, and nutritional management levels. The method of spraying paclobutrazol is the same as that of general fertilizer spraying, but attention should be paid to uniform application of the fertilizer on the growing points.
Application dosage and concentration It varies depending on factors such as variety, growth, age, soil quality, etc. The soil application rate is generally 0.25 grams per square meter. When spraying the leaves, the concentration of paclobutrazol is 800 to 1500 ppm. Soak the roots (bulbs) for 5 to 8 hours. The dosage and concentration of paclobutrazol for woody flowers can be slightly higher, while the dosage of paclobutrazol for herbaceous flowers should be lower. Use paclobutrazol with caution on orchids.
Application time Different paclobutrazol application methods have different paclobutrazol application times. Soil application is usually done in spring before flower buds sprout (spring flowers); leaf spray is usually used when the new shoots grow about 10 to 15 centimeters that year. Deciduous flowers and trees can be treated with paclobutrazol some time in advance to ensure timely effectiveness.
Frequency of application Since paclobutrazol has a long-lasting effect, it is generally applied once and the effect can last for 3 to 5 years, so the frequency of application should be strictly controlled. Soil application should be done once every 3 years at most, and foliar spray should be done once a year. If used in consecutive years, the concentration should be reduced year by year. If growth is found to be extremely weak, use should be stopped. If necessary, gibberellin can be sprayed to help restore growth. 5. Paclobutrazol efficacy sluggish period

Application technology

1. Use alone to control the nutritional growth of crops
Food crops: seeds can be soaked, leaf spraying and other methods

Rice Rice seedling age 5-6 leaf stage, use 20% polybudozole 150ml and water 100kg spray per mu to improve seedling quality, dwarfing and strengthening plants.
Wheat From tiller stage to joint stage, using 20%-40ml of dobutrazole and 30kg of water spray per mu can promote effective tillering, short and stout plants and enhance lodging resistance.
Cash crops: seeds can be soaked, foliar spraying and other methods
Peanut Peanuts are generally 25-30 days after the beginning of flowering, the use of 20% polybulobulozole 30ml and 30kg water spray per mu can inhibit the growth of nutrients, so that more photosynthetic products are transported to the pod, reduce the number of ruffs, increase the number of pods, fruit weight, kernel weight and yield.
Rape In the 3-leaf stage of the seedbed, the use of 20% polybudozole 20-40ml per mu and 30kg spray with water can cultivate short and strong seedlings, avoid the emergence of "tall seedling", "curved root seedling" and "yellow weak seedling", and the transplanting has less broken, fast survival and strong cold resistance.
Soya bean At the initial flowering stage of soybean, using 20% polybulobuzole 30-45ml and 45kg water spray per mu can effectively control vegetative growth, promote reproductive growth, and make more photosynthetic products flow to the kernel. The stem internode of the plant was shortened and strong, and the number of pods was increased.
Fruit trees: soil application, leaf spraying, trunk coating and other methods
Apples, pears, peaches Apple, pear, peach (1) Soil application before spring sprouting or autumn, 4-5 years of fruit trees use 20% polybulobuzole 5-7ml/m²; 6-7 years of fruit trees use 20% polybulobuzole 8-10ml/m², adult trees 15-20ml/m². Mix dobulozole with water or soil and put it into the ditch, cover it with soil and water it. The validity period is 2 years. (2) foliar spraying, when the new shoots grow to 10-15cm, use 700-900 times the solution of 20% dobulobuzole evenly spray, and then spray once every 10 days, a total of 3 times, can inhibit the growth of new shoots, promote the formation of flower buds, and improve the fruit setting rate.
Grapes In the early stage of budding, the grapes were sprayed with 800-1200 times liquid leaf surface with 20% dobulobuzole, once every 10 days, a total of 3 times, which could inhibit the stolon extraction and increase the yield.
Mango In early May, each plant of mango was mixed 15-20ml with 15-20kg of water, which could control the growth of new shoots and improve the heading rate.
Lychee and longan Lychee and longan were sprayed with 500 to 700 times liquid of 20% dobutrazole suspension before and after pulling out the winter tips, which had the effect of increasing the flowering rate and fruit setting rate and reducing fruit dropping.
Citrus When the spring shoots were extracted 2-3cm, spraying the stems and leaves with 20% dobutrazole 200 times liquid could inhibit the spring shoots, reduce the nutrient consumption and increase the fruit setting rate. In the early stage of autumn shoot germination, using 20% polybulobuzole 400 times liquid spray can inhibit the elongation of autumn shoot, promote flower bud differentiation and increase yield.

2. mixed with pesticides
It can be mixed with most insecticides and fungicides to save time and labor, which can kill insects, sterilization, and effectively control the growth of crops. Recommended dosage for general field crops (except cotton) : 30ml/ mu.

3. Compound with foliar fertilizer
Polybulozole suspension can be mixed with leaf fertilizer to improve fertilizer efficiency. Recommended dosage for general foliar spraying: 30ml/ mu.

4. mixed with flushing fertilizer, water-soluble fertilizer, drip irrigation fertilizer
It can be short and strong plants, improve the absorption and utilization of the required nutrients of the crop, and it is generally recommended to use fertilizer per mu
