Florfenicol is a commonly used veterinary antibiotic with a wide antibacterial spectrum, strong antibacterial effect, low minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), high safety, non toxicity, and no residue. It has no potential risk of causing aplastic anemia and is suitable for large-scale breeding farms. It is mainly used to treat bovine respiratory diseases caused by Pasteurella and Haemophilus bacteria. It has a good therapeutic effect on bovine foot rot caused by Clostridium. It is also used for infectious diseases caused by sensitive bacteria in pigs and chickens, as well as bacterial diseases in fish.

Pharmacological action	The antibacterial spectrum and antibacterial activity of this product are slightly better than that of sulfoxamycin, and it has strong antibacterial activity against a variety of gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and mycoplasma. Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida, actinobacillus suis pleuritis are highly sensitive to this product, and are sensitive to streptococcus, sulfonicin-resistant Shigella dysentery, Salmonella typhi, Klebsiella, Escherichia coli and ampicillin resistant Haemophilus influenzae. Bacteria can develop acquired resistance to flufenicol, and show cross-resistance with thiamphenicol, but due to the inactivation of acetyltransferase, this product is still sensitive to it. It is mainly used for bacterial diseases of cattle, pigs, chickens and fish, such as bovine respiratory diseases caused by Pasteulosis and hemophilus, bovine infectious keratoconjunctivitis, porcine actinomycous pleuropneumonia, fish disease and so on. It can also be used to treat cow mastitis caused by various pathogens. Strong bactericidal power, a wide antibacterial spectrum (negative bacteria, positive bacteria, rhodosoma, coccidia, mycoplasma, etc.) to reduce the generation of drug resistance. After oral administration, it quickly penetrates the intestinal wall through systemic circulation to reach the target tissue, reaching the peak blood concentration within 1-1.5 hours, the elimination half-life is as long as 17 hours, and the effective blood concentration can be maintained for 40-48 hours after a single administration.
